Teachers Ordered To Dress Up As Muslims

Teachers at a primary school have been ordered to dress up as Muslims to promote multi-culturalism.

The West Midlands school is belatedly celebrating the Muslim festival of Eid and told its pupils and teachers to don traditional Muslim dress for the day.

All 257 pupils, most of whom are Christians, and 41 teachers - two of whom are Muslims - dressed up.

Muslim Pharmacist Refuses To Sell Birth Control Pill

In the UK a Muslim Pharmacist who is reported to be very religious, refused to dispense the over-the-counter birth control "morning after pill." The worried mother was outraged.

"I asked for the pill because you have to take it within 72 hours and this was now 36 hours. I don't want to increase my family and this was an accident so I needed to take the pill. In the end I had to go to the doctor's surgery."

"I was angry because he is a dispensing chemist and it is his job to dispense drugs. If he can't do that on religious grounds then perhaps he should not be in the profession."

The row flared up when Jo-Ann called at her local branch of Lloyd's Pharmacy in Green Arbour Road, Thurcroft.

She said: "This is a perfectly legal drug but there is a man introducing his own laws. It cannot be right that he can pick and choose the drugs he sells." (DailyMail.co.uk)

There are some beliefs that I would agree with Islam is their pro-life stance for the unborn. But why would the Jihadists want to kill innocent people because of their religious beliefs.

You would think the Muslim Pharmacist would want to sell the birth control pill. In the Islamic way of thinking, it would be one less person to deal with in their jihad against non-Muslims.

Muslim Teacher Suspended For Wearing the Veil

The wearing of the Muslim veil in the UK has become a very controversial issue.

A Muslim teacher assistant was suspended for not taking off her veil while teaching. She stated that she never denied not wanting to take it off in front of the children, but refused to take it off in front of her male co-workers.

The school defended its action because it believes face-to-face contact is necessary for the teaching of bilingual classes and has nothing to do with any religious belief.

Recently, Commons Leader Jack Straw has revealed that he asks his Muslim constituents to remove their veils in meetings in order to talk face-to-face.

Then the Major of London, Ken Livingstone has stated that he agrees with the majority that the veils need to go but not the way Jack Straw is dealing with the issue.

He told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "Getting Muslim women to give up the veil, which I suspect is something most people would like to see in the long-term - including myself - is not going to be done by old white male politicians telling them to do it.

"It will be change from within the Muslim community, and that's why it is important we should engage with the progressive elements and leaders in the Muslim community, rather than what really America has been doing over the last 30 years, which is alliances with, say, the Saudi royal family and the most backward and reactionary elements." (DailyNews.co.uk)

The veil issue is intensifying.

[..] Mr Straw denied suggestions that his comments had fueled divisions between Muslim and non-Muslim communities.

Last week a woman was racially abused at a bus stop in Liverpool and her veil was torn from her face.

Mr Straw said: "I have spoken to police about the incident in Liverpool and I hope and pray that the perpetrator is caught and punished.

"The wearing of veils in schools has been an ongoing issue for some time and is a separate matter." (DailyNews.co.uk)

Female Student Arrested For Not Communicating with Non-English Speaking Students

A 14 year old schoolgirl in the UK who was made to sit with a group of non-English speaking Asian students to discuss the projects the class was working on. Codie Stott, the student, went back to the teacher who placed her in the group and asked to change groups because of the language barrier. Her teacher reacted by shouting and screaming that she is being racist and will have to deal with the police.

A complaint was made to a police officer based full-time at the school, and more than a week after the incident on September 26 she was taken to Swinton police station and placed under arrest.

"They told me to take my laces out of my shoes and remove my jewelery, and I had my fingerprints and photograph taken," said Codie. "It was awful."

After questioning on suspicion of committing a section five racial public order offence, her mother Nicola says she was placed in a bare cell for three-and-a-half hours then released without charge. (DailyMail.co.uk)

This incident was investigated by police and prosecutors decide to drop any charges.

[..] Robert Whelan, deputy director of the Civitas think-tank, said: "It's obviously common sense that pupils who don't speak English cause problems for other pupils and for teachers."

"I'm sure this sort of thing happens all the time, but it's a sad reflection on the school if they can't deal with it without involving the police."

"A lot of these arrests don't result in prosecutions - they aim is to frighten us into self-censorship until we watch everything we say." (DailyMail.co.uk)

This is a good example where political correctness caused more social harm instead of promoting harmony between different cultures.

Non-Muslin Female Students Made To Wear The Hijab

The Islamic Madani High School in Leicester, UK has been mandated by the courts to accept 10% non-Muslim students. But all female students must abide with the uniform code, which includes cover their heads with the hijab scarves.

Assistant principal Zainab Elgaziari said he did not regard the demand as a problem - despite the ongoing row over Muslim women's veils.

He said: 'I can't see why if a student wears a head scarf it should be an issue. It's the same as a shirt or tie - it's just part of our uniform.

'We will welcome students of other faiths. Indeed, there will be a quota set down by the Government, and we will abide by these rules.

'When you go to any school you know what the uniform will be. Like any school, we will have one - and in our case it will include a head scarf.' (DailyMail.co.uk)

Many of the comments this article question the motive of this uniform rule. Why would a non-Muslim want to attend a Muslim school or is this a means of preventing parents from wanting to send their non-Muslim students to the school?

When France tried to ban the hijab and other outwardly religious dress in their schools in order to preserve the secular identity. French President Jacques Chirac agreed with the ban.

"The Islamic veil… the kippa and a cross that is of manifestly excessive dimensions -these have no place in the precincts of state schools. State schools will remain secular," he said. (Aljazeera.net)

The French Muslim population reaction was very negative. The International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights stepped into the issue and stated:

"For many Muslim women wearing a headscarf is a deeply personal choice and a sign of their religious conviction and has nothing to do with Islamic fundamentalism,' the IHF said in a statement.

"A headscarf ban would automatically but mistakenly stigmatise all Muslim women wearing the headscarf as fundamentalists."

The statement added: "Banning girls and women wearing the headscarf from schools… could lead to numerous girls and women staying out of schools." (Aljazeera.net)

What's good for one group's beliefs is not good for the other group's beliefs.

2012 London Olympics Conflicts with Ramadan

The 2012 London Olympics will run from July 27 to August 12 with at least 3,000 Muslim athletes participating. The problem is, Ramadan will take place from July 21 to August 20, throwing a political wrench into the games.

Because the Muslim calendar is based on a lunar cycle, the ninth month of Ramadan - which runs from the appearance of one new crescent moon to the next - gets earlier by around 11 days each year.

The clash will be a huge embarrassment for Lord Coe, Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell, and London Mayor Ken Livingstone, who have been keen to ensure the Games involve all Britain's ethnic communities.

Massoud Shadjareh, chairman of the London-based Islamic Human Rights Commission, said: "They would not have organised this at Christmas. It is equally stupid to organise it at Ramadan. (DailyMail.co.uk)

London has a few years before the London Olympics to make any necessary date changes.

Christian British Airway Employee Files Suit Over Suspension For Wearing Crucifix

A British employee of British Airways has been banned from wearing her Christian cross while working in Heathrow Airport. According to British Airlines, the employees uniform does not include include crucifixes. Nadia Eweida has replied to the ban with a lawsuit under the Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003, because of her employer's double standard dealing with Christian employees.

The airline's uniform code states that staff must not wear visible jewelery or other 'adornments' while on duty without permission from management.

It makes exceptions for Muslim and Sikh minorities by allowing them to wear hijabs and turbans.

Under rules drawn up by BA's 'diversity team' and 'uniform committee', Sikh employees can even wear the traditional iron bangle - even though this would usually be classed as jewelery - while Muslim workers are also allowed prayer breaks during work time. (DailyMail.co.uk)

Queen Sanctions First Ever Muslim Prayer Room

Queen Elizabeth, with her blessings, has sanctioned a Muslim prayer room at her residence, Windsor Castle. The prayer room will be available to Muslims during the Islamic month of fasting.

The room is being used by just one person who works in the gift shops at the castle.

Every workday at 1:30pm visitor services assistant Nagina Chaudhry locks herself in the room to roll out her prayer mat and point it towards Mecca.

She then dons her hijab - headscarf - and begins the half-hour lunchtime prayer required of all Muslims during Ramadan.

Miss Chaudhry said she was thrilled when castle bosses allowed her to use a specially-converted office in the historic Saxon Tower. (DailyMail.co.uk)

Miss Chaudhry works part-time in the gift shops, two days a week.

Hardline Muslim Appointed UK School Inspector

The political antics coming out of Londonistan are proving dismal for the Western world. Tolerance of beliefs and freedom of speech are being eroded to total political correctness in the UK.

A hardline Muslim teacher who caused a furore by denouncing pupils for celebrating Christmas has been made a Government schools inspector.

Israr Khan's Ofsted appointment was described by a former colleague as 'absolutely astonishing'.

Mr Khan, now headmaster of an Islamic school, launched into his tirade during a concert rehearsal at Washwood Heath Secondary School in Birmingham in 1996 after the choir including around 40 Muslim youngsters, had sung a number of popular Christmas songs, including carols.

He leapt from his seat, yelling: "Who is your God? Why are you saying Jesus and Jesus Christ? God is not your God - it is Allah."

As children in the audience began booing and clapping, a number of choir members - both white and Asian - walked out, some in tears.

Mr Khan, a math teacher, was asked to work from home pending an investigation but there was no disciplinary action. (ThisIsLondon.co.uk)

Mr Khan now has the power to pass or fail schools. It will be seen if he passes judgment on schools will malice towards no one. He does have the backing of the many Muslim parents in his district.

UK Police Back Off Curbing the Threats of Violence by Muslims

Last week Muslims demonstrating outside Westminster Cathedral over the Pope's recent remarks, made deadly threats of violence against anyone who insulted the Muslim faith. Many of the Christians attending Mass complained to the police in fear of their lives.

The Metropolitan Police has also decided not to take action against the controversial Muslim figure, Anjem Choudary, who allegedly said in a television interview about the row over the Pope that anyone who insulted the Muslim faith would be "subject to capital punishment".

Police received about 25 complaints from members of the public about the protest, which was said to have left worshipers attending the cathedral on September 17 feeling "upset" and "intimidated".

Following a protest outside the Danish embassy in London in February, over Muslim-related cartoons, an inquiry led to charges including soliciting to murder and inciting racial hatred.

However, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir Ian Blair, told a meeting of his force's police authority yesterday that, after reviewing the evidence, Scotland Yard officers had concluded that "no substantive offences" were committed during the cathedral demonstration. (Telegraph.co.uk)

A double standard in justice is operating in Londonistan. Many non-Muslims are being arrested for questionable verbal attacks against Muslims while the Muslims who are threatening violent attacks are being ignored by the police.

Is this what the Western free-world has to look forward to?
