Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) are concerned that the American people are making the connection between the known terrorists and Islam. The recent arrests of terrorists in UK who happen to be Muslims is no coincidence. Yet, they want the connection between Islam and terrorism not to be made to the American people.
Yet, the facts are that many of the terrorists have made statements they were acting in the name of Islam.
In a letter said to have been sent Thursday to President Bush, Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) Board Chairman Parvez Ahmed warned President Bush against using the term “Islamic-fascist”. Largely supported by the ACLU, over the past several years CAIR has gained increasing influence in the United States. CAIR is said to want the term used to describe Islamic terrorists removed from American lexicon.
The president's statement was made in regards to Thursday's UK-US foiled Islamic terrorist plot to blow up 10 commercial airliners while still in-flight.
Two plus two equals four, not five.
