Where Are the Entertainment Police?

Entertainment Today is Not Family Friendly

by Sharon Hughes

So, I ask you…how does an industry that is suppose to entertain become so corrupt? Why is Disney allowing its subsidiary studio, Miramax, to put out unredeeming pictures like Kill Bill and the twisted version of Miracle on 34th Street, Bad Santa, who drinks, robs swears and has sex? Why has the FCC cleared the way for the use of the "F" word on radio and TV any time of the day or night, as long as it isn’t used in a sexual context? Why is occult and sexually oriented programming on the the rise? And why has Mel Gibson been raked over the coals because of his new movie, The Passion, by an industry which produced the Ten Commandments, The Robe and other classic, religious films?

The PC Police are everywhere, but where are the E Police? Oh, I forgot, in the arts we can’t blow the whistle because of the freedom of speech clause, right? What is it about this industry that is so easily corrupted and corrupts? Could it be that it has been infiltrated by left-wing activists? Could it be that Stalin targeted the entertainment industry as a means of bringing America down? Was Ronald Reagan on to something when he worked on the committee for un-American activities to expose communist activity in Hollywood?

Whatever the cause, the current condition is obvious…much of entertainment today is not family friendly. So, we have child safety options on our TVs and computers…which is a good thing, but how sad we should need them.

Parents, we have to be more pro-active and not be passive when it comes to entertainment,. What is the greater danger…your child or teen being unhappy with you because you won’t let them watch what their friends watch, or your child being exposed to things their young eyes should not see fun entertainment for your children.

Remember, it’s always better to build children than to repair men

How do Muslim Astronauts Pray in Space?

To be a politically correct Muslim orbiting the Earth, will be a challenge.

Consider the dilemma of devout Muslim astronauts orbiting the Earth every 90 minutes, who must pray five times a day while facing Mecca. How does he determine the direction of Mecca and do they pray five times a day according to their orbital 90 minute day?  Malaysia’s National Space Agency, Angkasa, is holding a conference to consider such questions as the country prepares to send its first citizen into orbit.

Malaysia has four possible candidates which two will be chosen to accompany a Russian space flight to the orbiting space station. Three of the four candidates are Muslim.

Performing ablutions for Muslim prayers with water rationing in space and preparing food according to Islamic standards will be among issues discussed, said Angkasa’s director-general, Mazlan Othman.

“So far, Angkasa has not discussed these matters with Russia because the candidates have not been decided and the needs of Malaysian astronauts have not been determined,” Mazlan was quoted as saying by the state Bernama news agency.

“We have to make preparations to discuss with Russia when the time comes,” she added. (Source: Space-Travel.com)

Politically Correct Jail Toilets Face Away From Mecca

Here is a good example of codling the Muslims where politically correct is going to far, especially in the London jails.

The Home Office said two new toilet blocks are being installed as part of a refurbishment at Brixton jail in south London.

Faith leaders had told prison bosses it was unacceptable for Muslim inmates to face Mecca while using the toilet.

"The refurbishment has been carried out with due consideration for all faiths", a Home Office spokeswoman said.

"Following consultation with faith leaders within the prison, various small adjustments were made to ensure the faith issues of all prisoners are taken into account." (Source: BBC News)

This does not surprise me as Mohammed has written that it is a sin to pass gas while praying.

How Long Will the British Stand For This?

When political incorrect statements lands someone in jail, freedom of speech is in trouble. Depending on who you are and what you say will determine if it is politically correct.

By Lawrence Auster

Speaking of anarcho-tyranny, two months ago when hundreds of Muslim protesters in London Free speechdisplayed signs threatening to behead Westerners for “insulting” Islam, the British police took notes—they took notes—but said they didn’t want to arrest anyone at the moment for fear of setting off a riot. OK, that moment passed two months ago, and no one has been arrested since then. Meanwhile, Bryan Cork, 49, of Carlisle, Cumbria, in the Lake District, has been sentenced to six months in prison for standing outside a mosque last November and shouting, “Proud to be British,” and “Go back to where you came from.”

Organized public threats of terrorist mass murder and beheadings—no consequences. A lone angry drunken man shouting, “Carlisle’s white,” “Go back to where you came from”—six months in jail.

The Politically Correct

by Ted Sares

The politically correct crowd (not to be confused with the "in crowd" or with those joining every possible community group, committee, and board that time allows, or otherwise touting good citizenship, righteousness, and decency) is composed of those who give nasty looks to others they perceive as free-thinking, irreverent, independent, intellectually curious, analytically antagonistic, or otherwise abnormal and who may, in their minds, be worthy candidates for some star-chamber disciplinary proceeding.

Political correctness, as set forth in Wikipedia, is a term used almost always ironically and pejoratively to describe real or perceived attempts to impose limits on language and the range of acceptable public debate. While it often refers to a linguistic phenomenon such as "he or she,"which ironically calls more attention to the difference than suppressing it, just as often covers political ideology representations in literature, films, advertising and arts, as well as, and most dangerously, behavior. It used to be considered just an annoyance championed by people with thin skin and initially was all about gender pronouns, hyphenated nationalities and stereotypes.

Unfortunately, PC has evolved since the ’80s into something far more dangerous. Now it is changing our society from within, and we the the citizens of this nation are increasingly censoring ourselves and losing our freedom of speech out of fear of PC repression. For example, now, if you tell someone that gay rights should not extend any further than your rights or my rights, you may be putting yourself at risk of being labeled a homophobe by the PC police.

The NCAA banned the use of American Indian mascots by sports teams during its postseason tournaments. So much for the Florida State Seminoles, but Florida State President T.K. Wetherell blasted the NCAA and threatened legal action. "FSU is stunned at the complete lack of appreciation for cultural diversity shown by the NCAA’s executive committee… That the NCAA would now label our close bond with the Seminole Tribe of Florida as culturally ‘hostile and abusive’ is both outrageous and insulting," Wetherell said recently. An example of someone fighting back.

Court Reverses Ruling Against Bible Verses

References about homosexuality in ad had been condemned as ‘hatred’

Today, it has become increasingly more politically incorrect and dangerous to one’s freedom to be preaching Biblical truths. Many verses from the Bible are now being labeled as "hate literature" which has landed Hugh Owens in prison in 2001 for for quoting the Bible in Canada.

[In Canada] under Saskatchewan’s Human Rights Code, Hugh Owens of Regina, an evangelical Christian and corrections officer, was found guilty along with the newspaper Saskatoon StarPhoenix for publishing in 1997 an ad inciting hatred and was forced to pay damages of 1,500 Canadian dollars to each of three homosexual men who filed a complaint. The decision was upheld by a Canadian court in 2002. (WND.com)

The ad in question (the accompanying illustration) only showed references to the verses. Owens said in 2001:

"I figured somebody would have to look them up in the Bible first, or if they didn’t have a Bible, they’d have to find one." (WND.com)

Last year in Sweden, Pastor Ake Green was also convicted for preaching from his pulpit "hate speech". But Sweden’s high court also reversed his conviction.

Even though the forces of evil are making it illegal to preach Biblical truths, some courts have the sense to reverse these frivolous laws.

Liberal Hypocrisy on Church and State

by Rabbi Aryeh Spero
America’s Rabbi

separation of church and stateBarry Lynn of Americans United for Separation of Church and State is at it again. This time, he’s ostracizing Justice Sam Alito for writing a letter to those who supported him and thanking them “for their prayers for him.”

I want to thank Mr. Lynn for finally tipping his hand. Obviously, he has a revulsion for any speech regarding religion, even that written privately. He can not abide any public official (state) from using standard terms, commonplace parlance that expresses or acknowledges the human sentiment of something beyond the secular.

At the heart of this whole “separation” issue is a desire by the separationists that nothing be done or said by any individual holding any type of public office, anywhere, which implies that religion is part of our life. They want a “religion-rein” America.

Mr. Lynn, however, has no problem with a Catholic cardinal entering political (state) issues by calling for disobedience to any government law that would put limits on immigration or treat illegals different than regular U.S. citizens.

“Separation of church and state” is being used by liberals selectively: no good if acknowledging traditional religious practices but just fine if liberal causes are at stake. Similar to how the separationists never howl when for decades black churches were used — and still are — to promote liberal candidates and liberal social causes, and redistribution of wealth. No problem when Shrillary Clinton speaks at a Long Island synagogue — at services no less, delivering the “Sermon.”

Mr. Lynn calls himself reverend. No problem. But don’t be fooled. There are many liberal ministers and rabbis whose allegiance is to liberalism first and foremost. In fact, they entered the religion business precisely as a means to promote liberal causes. Left-wing liberalism is what animates and energizes them, with the Good Book simply a device to advance their liberal message. Those parts of the Bible, the black-on-white scriptural passages, limiting man’s sexual and other appetites, hold no interest for them, in fact, turn them off. They reject “that stuff,” the Bible’s conservative behavioral messages.

Sen. Kennedy Slammed for Comparing Illegal Immigration Rallies to Civil Rights Marches

Sen. Ted Kennedy is still trying to push the political correct agenda with the immigration issue when trying to compare immigration issues with racial issues.

Rev. Peterson Says Politicians Selling Out Blacks for Hispanic Votes

LOS ANGELES – A black conservative minister and staunch immigration reform advocate Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson today denounced Sen. Ted Kennedy for comparing pro-illegal immigration rallies to civil rights marches for blacks half a century ago. The Massachusetts Democrat, who is a proponent of a Senate plan that would open the way to citizenship for illegals, said recent illegal immigration rallies are “reminiscent of the civil rights movement.”

Rev. Peterson said, “Ted Kennedy should be ashamed for comparing the civil rights struggles of blacks to that of illegal aliens. Black Americans are being driven out of their jobs and schools by the influx of illegals—while politicians like Kennedy sell them out for Hispanic votes.”

The War On The Belief Of Christ and His Resurrection

Satan is certainly not short of workers for his anti-Christ cause.

The misguided atheist Brian Flemming, a self-described "former Christian fundamentalist" and president of Beyond Belief Media is attempting to distribute 666 copies of an anti-Jesus DVD to Christian churches.

The God Who Wasn\'t There

Declaring War on Easter, Beyond Belief Media has launched a preemptive attack on the Christian holiday, the company announced today. "Operation Easter Sanity" has already begun.

Using its documentary THE GOD WHO WASN’T THERE as the chief weapon, Beyond Belief Media is covertly planting DVDs of the film in churches throughout the United States. The popular movie, currently ranked #1 on Amazon.com’s independent documentaries list, is critical of the irrational beliefs of Christians and asserts that Jesus Christ did not exist. (http://www.thegodmovie.com/press/releases/041106releaseEAST.html)

The Case for Christ: A Journalist\'s Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus

But the countless historical documentation of Jesus and his resurrection has proven without doubt the truth of the first Easter weekend.

In Lee Strobel’s, The Case for Christ, he uses the dramatic scenario of an investigative journalist pursuing his story and leads, Lee Strobel uses his experience as a reporter for the Chicago Tribune to interview experts about the evidence for Christ from the fields of science, philosophy, and history.

After having all his questions answered, Strobel pulls the evidence together and presents the verdict. Not surprisingly, the verdict, based on legal rules for evidence, pointed to Jesus being exactly who the Bible says He is. The evidence overwhelmingly points to Jesus being the son of God, who died on the cross and rose three days later. So if you have questions about the truth of the Christian claims, or know someone who does, this book is the best place to start. Written by someone who knew which questions to ask (because he had them too), this book presents logical, rational answers that can help.

Easter Bunny Under Attack By The Political Correct Police

Easter has become the latest Christian holiday to come under attack by the political police, with concerns of not offending non-Christians. They are trying to get any reference of the Easter Bunny removed form many shopping malls. This is all done in the name of "multiculturalism."

But most malls are ignoring the political police.

Taking stock of malls throughout Palm Beach County, Fla., the Palm Beach Post discovered the Easter festivities held last weekend and scheduled for this weekend are being supervised by Baxter the Bunny, Peter Rabbit, and Garden Bunny.

"The name just complemented The Gardens of the Palm Beaches," mall marketing director Jeannie Roberts told the paper in explanation of the third name.

Mall officials at Town Center in Boca Raton, Fla., admitted to caving in to concern over what could be perceived as religious promotion. (World Net Daily)

It does not matter that the Easter Bunny origins are from Anglo-Saxon pagan beliefs. But like the traditional Santa Clause at Christmas, the traditional Easter Bunny is slowly becoming unwelcome in the growing number of political correct malls.
